Other tests

Tests are performed by highly-qualified professionals with the help of suitable test equipment and certified chemical/biological indicators according to effective qualification protocols or validated procedures.

Our multi-channel loggers and the connected specialized test equipment are used to define and archive different parameters at different points at a time (e.g. temperature, humidity, pressure). Our loggers are structured into complex measuring and data logger systems that can ensure the
qualification of several equipment and supply systems at a time.

Tests are performed at measuring points required by our clients. Consultation is provided upon request.

OTHER TESTS

MEASURING PRESSURE

During their operation autoclaves ensure regulated pressure. Parallel to the temperature mapping of autoclaves, temporal pressure changes in the autoclave workspace can also be measured..

MEASURING RPM

The rpm of the centrifuges and mixers is measured by means of laser rpm meters.

MEASURING HUMIDITY

The relative humidity of different types of equipment is measured.

TESTING STERILIZING EFFECT WITH BIOINDICATORS

Parallel to the temperature mapping of autoclaves and dry heat sterilizers, the microbiological (sterilizing) effects of sterilizers can also be tested. In case of autoclaves Geobacillus stearothermophilus, whereas in case of dry heat sterilizers Bacillus atrophaeus bioindicators (both with certificate of analysis) are applied.

TESTING DEPYROGENATION EFFECT WITH TEST-VIALS CONTAINING PYROGENS

Parallel to the temperature mapping of dry heat sterilizers, the depyrogenation effect of dry heat sterilizers can also be tested. Test vials containing a known quantity of pyrogen are used for determining the depyrogenation effect, i.e. for detecting the bacterial endotoxin content.

CHECKING STERILIZATION PARAMETERS WITH Bowie Dick test

In case of autoclaves operating with Bowie Dick program, it is recommended to run a Bowie Dick test prior to temperature distribution mapping. With the help of the Bowie Dick test modeling the load volume, the following can be checked:

  • Steam penetration into the interior of the load,

  • Current temperature of the sterilizer steam,

  • Time of steam penetration into the load,

  • Quality of de-aeration of the working space,

  • Over saturation of the sterilizer steam,

  • Overheating of the sterilizer steam.
